Got Ring??
Funny, when my now husband and I were dating, Valentines Day was "THE DAY" to get engaged. Something about the expression of love really set the tone. Dinner, roses, Champagne bubbling in my glass - I just knew it would be then that I would get engaged. But, then there was Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc., etc. If you are one of those girls that have been waiting years for that ring - and now you've got it - what are you gonna do next! The first thing I did was get my manicure. I knew I'd be showing that baby off everywhere I went. I also had it cleaned about 4 times before the weekend hit. Now, after ten years of marriage - my rings is nice and dirty! But, I still remember. Staring at my hand in the morning mirror, watching the little rainbows against the car door, the 2 pm light show in my office at work, friends wanting to try it on. The excitement of hearing that "oooh, he did a god job!". I loved every minute of it. So, If you are a Valentine Fiance - I hope you enjoy it too. But, only for a little while - planning your wedding is way too fun to wait too long!

Another one....
I just heard about another venue closing - Cyprian Keys Country Club in Boylston, MA. They are trying to get financing to re-open but this only compounds my previous advice to GET WEDDING INSURANCE!! It really is worth it especially if you hear of a closing. The girl on the news was solidly booked with her wedding plans at Cyprian. She got wind of the closing from her officiant and tried to cancel her reception the next day. Can you believe they told her she would have to forfeit $1500 of her 2K deposit. She agreed because she had no choice! They officially announced their closing three days later. What arrogance!! That is unreal! I will say it again, your planner can rebound on this tragedy very quickly and re-book you at another available location - but you will need the insurance re-imbursement to lay down another deposit. Unless, of course, you are one of those rich girls that can just lay it all out again. Yeah, lets go insurance hunting.
