The Skinny

I met with two of my brides this week and a third a couple of weeks ago and I noticed a three-peat. All were so thin. Not sickly thin, but much thinner than the last time I saw them. I have to ask if they are OK, make sure they are eating and not stressed out. If I can take some things off their mental to-do list and such. We chat about what they need to get done and resolve a bunch of issues. All say they are not doing anything differently i.e.: started jogging, have a sudden aversion to food, ate a tape worm, etc.. So, I thought about when I was getting re-married and the issues I had with my body. Right off the bat, I though of the doughy bread-baking arms that I had (and still have) and that I had a belly pooch. I admit, I look at my photos from the wedding now and think how thin I was and wish I was that thin again. I have spoken to some of my brides after their wedding and found that they are all disgusted by all of the weight they have gained since the wedding. Really, they look like they did when we did our first consultation. I wonder if realize their post-wedding body is the way their fiance saw them before the wedding (and he still put a ring on it). He loves you just the way you are. Yes, you will have your svelte bride body in photos forever but, don't go crazy love. I guess if you are not at a healthy weight and you want to tighten up - but, you don't have to go Kate and be a stick. Don't get me wrong, my girls are healthy but some brides to be will go way overboard. Put the shoe on the other foot. Maybe he likes those curves - every one of them. What if he lost all of his muscles before the wedding? Yeah, you love his personality and he's a great guy 'n all but...you kinda liked those muscles and maybe after the wedding you can help him get them back. Right?
